My Music

Memories and Dreams (2006)

This is my first "real" album.

This was done in the fall of 2006. I remember because I remember playing track 10 "Dream" on an ancient piano in this big house in upstate New York, which was the summer that I was in America, while a war was going on in Israel.

The Bridge Home (2012)

This album is the first time I wrote out all the solos and intros before I recorded.

The songs have a kind of poppy feeling to them.

Track 15 "Hiders Among Us" was originally called "Bidge to Terabithia" and was inspired by the film with the same name.

Notebook Wings (2015)

Now, this album was a ton of work. Here, I really began to get fancy.

I was still using my old 2nd hand Korg D-12 when I began this album with Track 9 "River, Mountain"

Then I switched over to computer recording. My DAW was (and still is) Reaper.

Suddenly, the world opened up. I downloaded VST effects and audio clips. Recording became a breeze. Editing was 10 times faster. I went and flowed and was up and gone and never stayed awake past 3 AM, except for when I stayed up till 4.

THE MUSIC is a kind of singer-songwriter/rock with some components of electronic and classical music.

The Fight For Jerusalem (2016)

This time, I wrote from the ground up.

I began with an idea. I broked the idea down into smaller, bite-sized elements. I slowly and meticulously rendered each bite into a song. And the album was born.

Just a guitar.

Just a piano.

And just a voice.

Parlor (2019) (click for detailed details)

As I looked among my papers, I thought it'd be quite a shame if all these good songs fell by the wayside and never got recorded.

So, I gathered up a heap, found a basic common denominator, trimmed off the songs that were too off the theme, cut some songs up and combined them with some other ones.

And here we go.

An album about a feeling. That feeling you may have gotten when you were a kid and some old wise person began with a "Once upon a time..."

And you were gone...

The Neveh Session (2003)

AVAILABLE BY DIRECT REQUEST ONLY

This is a bootleg, B-Side, basement tape we recorded straight one evening in, you guessed it, Neveh.

David Teitlebaum and Jaron Lowenstien shared their musical skills for this one.

We recorded this straight onto a minidisc recorder. Some of you might remember minidiscs. They were these tiny CDs in plastic cases. Some of you might remember CDs. (Gosh, I'm starting to sound like my folks.)

Fall '04 (2004)

AVAILABLE BY DIRECT REQUEST ONLY

My first full length album featuring all original songs. Me and Teitlebaum (or I and he) recorded most of this in a few weeks. Track 16 "Cloud Nine" we recorded live, using all 4 inputs on the recorder.

From the album cover, it is clear that the album name is apt.

BTW, the cool looking photo-things at the top and bottom of the picture are not edited in. I lost the original picture but I found the original negative. (For those of you born after 1900, in the olden days one would take a picture onto this thing called "film" which would be processed by a lab into a negative, which would be processed into a picture)  I taped the negative to a window and took a picture of it and inverted the colors in Photoshop. After some cropping, and tada! There's the picture.
