PARLOR

This is a collection of songs from over the last 15 years; Songs that never made it onto an album but were solid and shared a common theme. So here it is.

THE THEME is, of course, the Parlor. It's about connecting with people through story and song. The album itself doesn't have any stories in it but it does have songs.

In general, the style of songs are folk/singer-songwriter, and the style of music is generally acoustic guitar and/or piano. There are a few songs with electric guitar and drums, one drum song played by my friend.

I KNOW that the album is a bit long, about an hour longer than people are used to. You can listen to the promo track/video to get a taste of what the different songs are like. I will break down the album structure so you could jump into what you like.

The first 10 tracks are about connecting and communicating with others cathartically.

(Catharsis - noun, [kuh-thahr-seez] 1. the purging of emotions or relieving of emotional tensions, especially through certain kinds of art, as tragedy or music.)

Tracks 11 to 15 are about those moments where we don't connect, when there's a break, when we thought everyone understood us and then we suddenly realize that they don't.

Tracks 16 to 24 deal with the working out of internal feelings and, despite the difficulties and past failures, to revive the desire to try to connect again.

I hope you enjoy this album as much as I had making it!

If you like this album, please share with everyone you know since that's the only way this album will get out there! If you are one of those people that thinks that no good music is made anymore, and if you think this is an exception then show it by sharing this with everyone you know!

Thank you!
